After last week’s epic debacles, Donald Trump backed out of the media spotlight. He read carefully prepared scripts at the occasional rally, but he really toned down his in-your-face rhetorical tone. But that ended with the shake up in his campaign staff, and the first speech–in which he sounded oddly apologetic, and now he’s back on the attack with this new commercial.

Many in the media are saying that this week’s version of Donald Trump is the first Trump has looked truly presidential. His speech opened the door to a more humble Trump.

While some of his supporters may understand that Trump is human and capable of mistakes, they didn’t really want him to say it out loud. That said, it may have been a bridge to bring more anti-Hillary voters to the table.

And the fans who prefer the rabid Trump can rest easy, as this new commercial is making waves. It is set to air in at least four key battle-ground states, and he doesn’t pull his punches.

The topic is immigration and national security. And the message seems clear. Clinton coddles the immigrants, even those who don’t have any business being here in the first place. Criminals. Terrorists. You can expect to hear a lot more about this in the weeks to come.
