High school teacher, Jessi Bohon, decided at her local town hall meeting to speak out against Rep. Diane Black on the issue of health care reform in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She states that, “[her] whole philosophy is pull up the unfortunate”, and that by repealing and replacing Obamacare, there is room for disaster.
Bohon continues on to say that by removing this requirement or individual mandate, the options left for those less fortunate in their lives will not be able to afford the insurance plans of these more expensive companies. It caters to the healthy and not the poor and she stands against this saying, “we are effectively punishing our sickest people.”
She goes on to suggest the idea of expanding Medicaid and Medicare coverage universally instead of condemning those who cannot afford the higher costs.
Bohon’s courageous stance against this nationwide concern has sparked a viral sensation throughout the internet with Twitter blowing up. Twitter-goers are banding together to support the stance of Bohon with users like @WinProgressive saying, “Great job to Jessi Bohon, who offered an excellent defense of #ObamaCare…”.
As a current hot button issue, the concerned citizens of America are happy to see someone speaking out against a potential issue for a large portion of our population. To hear more of Jessi Bohon’s fantastic speech, follow the link below to get the full story:
