Julian Assange Says DNC Insider Murdered in DC Because of Email Leaks

On July 8, 2016, a 27 year-old Democratic staffer was shot in the back on the streets of Washington D.C. Seth Conrad Rich was, if you believe the police reports, killed in a robbery-gone-wrong. That is an odd assessment, as the killer or killers stole nothing from Rich. They left behind his watch, phone, wallet, even cash.

Conspiracy theorists (and many more mainstream thinkers) are dubious of the cloud of “accidental” deaths and suicides that surround the Clinton family. The list is long. And, for a while, it seemed like Rich would be just one more name on that list.

The internet decided Rich died on his way to meet with the FBI. The rumor was he was going to come clean about a court case involving the Clintons.

Even Rich’s father wasn’t buying the robbery angle. “If it was a robbery,” Joel Rich said, “it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his money — he still has his credit cards, still had his phone so it was a wasted effort except we lost a life.”

On Tuesday Julian Assange implied that Seth Rich was involved with Wikileaks.

Assange spoke to a Dutch television program, Nieuwsuur.  He suggested that Seth Rich was his source for the Wikileaks Clinton and DNC emails.

Julian Assange: Whistleblowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks. As a 27 year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington.

Reporter: That was just a robbery, I believe. Wasn’t it?

Julian Assange: No. There’s no finding. So… I’m suggesting that our sources take risks.

The DC police have offered a reward for information on Rich’s murder, and now Wikileaks has added $20,000 to that.

As you might imagine, this is causing quite the headache for the Clinton campaign. After this story was reported on The Gateway Pundit and other sites, the DNC started some damage control.

Brad Bauman, a DC Democratic consultant and spokesperson for the Rich family, released this statement:

The entire Rich family is so heartened by the outpouring of support and love that they have felt over the past few weeks as they continue to come to terms with this terrible tragedy. The family is in constant contact with authorities and thank them for their extremely thorough investigation. The family believes this matter is being handled professionally and with the seriousness that it requires.

The family welcomes any and all information that could lead to the identification of the individuals responsible, and certainly welcomes contributions that could lead to new avenues of investigation. That said, some are attempting to politicize this horrible tragedy, and in their attempts to do so, are actually causing more harm that good and impeding on the ability for law enforcement to properly do their job. For the sake of finding Seth’s killer, and for the sake of giving the family the space they need at this terrible time, they are asking for the public to refrain from pushing unproven and harmful theories about Seth’s murder.

In other words, the whole family is moved by the attention their dead son is getting, but they don’t want anything political investigated. No need for that. So investigate it as if it were just a simple robbery. Where the killer, for whatever reason, shot Rich in the back, then chickened out on the robbery thing. Because we know how to handle that.
