It is hardly a secret that the President has some valuable real estate holdings. Trump cut his teeth buying and selling property. One of his more extravagant vacation get-aways is for sale now. It hasn’t sold, though, and so the property has just had a massive price cut: $11 million off the sticker price.
The St. Martin estate Le Château des Palmiers was listed for $28 million by Sotheby’s International Realty. The price is now a paltry $16.9 million.
The compound spans five acres. The main house and guest house combine for a total of 11 bedrooms.
Business Insider reports that it listed for ” just under $20 million when Trump purchased it in 2013.” Trump’s purchase price, they note, is not known.
“According to disclosure filings obtained by the Wall Street Journal in 2015, Trump owns the property through two companies called Excel Venture I LLC and Excel Venture Corp II. Trump typically uses the Caribbean escape as a rental property, and, according to the disclosure, he gets between $100,000 and $1 million a year from it. The sale is being handled by a revocable trust run by Donald Trump Jr. and Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg.”
Like most beach houses, this one has an open, airy feel.
Trump has left his mark on the building, specifically his family’s crest.
Trump likes gold, so there’s an ample amount of shiny objects.
Even the kitchen has some bling.
Here’s the media room.
For those who feel the need to exercise indoors, there’s a nice gym.
The main house has 5 bedrooms. Most are well sized.
The dining room’s mural is a nice touch, too, though it sadly doesn’t portray Trump family history.
This is the guest house. The style here is less garish and a bit more typical of the plantation style.
The wall surrounding the property is 8 feet tall. Hardly up to Trump’s standards.
It has a pool, of course, and there is a house on the property for the manager who will have to take care of all of it.
As BI reports, you can rent the place. The cost ranges from “$6,000 to $28,000 per night, depending on the time of year and which of the houses was being rented.”
Book now, though. At these discount prices, this one won’t stay on the market long.
