A homeowner was baffled when he spotted a strange “alien-like” winged creature scurrying across his ceiling. The creature, which he captured on video, had two wings and four tentacle-like protrusions. The crawling creature’s legs were attached to the ceiling, allowing it to walk upside near a wall. The homeowner believes it may have come inside to escape the rain.

Hari Toae, a homeowner in Bali, Indonesia, discovered the bizarre creature in his home last month, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
He believes it may have come inside to get out of the rain.
“I will let it stay in my house, but only for the night,” said Toae. “I don’t want it to scare my guests away.”
Toae didn’t know what kind of creature it was, but jokingly said that it “looked like an alien.”
“It’s not something I’ve ever seen before,” he continued. “I don’t think it comes from this neighborhood.”
While it isn’t clear precisely what the creature was, some believe that it is a moth, part of the Actiine family.
The creature in the video shares some characteristics with Creatonotos gangis, a moth species that is native to Australia and south-east Asia. Creatonotos gangis moths also have wings and tentacles, the latter of which functions as a scent organ.
Tentacles on Creatonotos gangis produce pheromones, a chemical substance that is often used to find suitable mates.
Video of a similar looking creature emerged in 2017 in Australia, which was also believed to be Creatonotos gangis.
