After seeing a sign in Petco that said “all leashed pets are welcome” in the store, one man and woman decided to put it to the test. They leashed up their trained steer and headed inside to see what would happen, and it went much better than many people would have expected.

Shelly Lumpkin and Vincent Browning leashed up their African Watusi steer, Oliver, and brought the massive animal inside a Texas Petco, according to a report by Fox News.

Instead of being met by resistance, Petco employees welcomed them all “with open arms.”

“We decided to take a chance and call Petco ‘s bluff on the ‘ALL LEASHED PETS ARE WELCOME’ policy,” said Browning in a Facebook post. “The awesome crew at Petco – Atascocita did not disappoint!! They welcomed Oliver the African Watusi with open arms.”

“The staff members here are always super friendly and courteous to us,” he continued. “We really enjoy coming to this location…our favorite Petco BY FAR!!”

Browning owns and trains Oliver, bringing him to rodeos and other shows.

While it isn’t clear how much Oliver weighs, African Watusi bulls can weigh as much as 1,600 pounds.

Oliver has his own Facebook page, featuring photos some of his relatives and videos from his shows.

Browning also posted a video from Oliver’s trip to Petco.
