There are plenty of instances of people wanting to say whatever they are feeling at work, but most don’t because they need the job – especially if what you want to say is rude. One woman, who worked for TSA, apparently threw caution to the wind when she decided to pass a note to a traveler that read: “You Ugly!!!”

The incident took place in New York at Rochester International Airport. The employee, who worked for a Virginia-based security company that was contracted with the TSA, can be seen on CCTV passing a small piece of paper to Neal Strassner as he passed her at the security checkpoint.
“I didn’t open it because I didn’t care about it,” he told the New York Post. “She turned around a few times asking, ‘Are you going to open that?’”
According to Strassner, he originally thought it was just trash that she wanted him to toss it. But once he looked at it, he saw the spiteful message. Instead of making a big deal about it, the 40-year-old traveler proceeded to get on his plane.
The CCTV footage shows the TSA employee almost falling over laughing as the traveler walked away. She then can be seen taking another scrap of paper and writing something down, which was no doubt for her next victim.
“I travel constantly and I’ve never had anything like this happen,” Strassner explained. Strassner told his friends about the incident, and they pushed him to take action against the woman.
“If you were bullied, that could be a big deal to somebody,” he said. “A smile could bring someone up from the ground and that note could drag them back down.”
When he contacted the security supervisors at the airport, Strassner stated they thought he was joking. When he showed them the note and asked them to check the cameras, it was evident he was telling the truth.
According to Fox News, the woman was immediately fired. Various higher-ups in the Virginia-based company called numerous times to apologize. “One of the guys from VMD Corp called me. He started apologizing and said, ‘I have no words.’ Once he received the tapes, he couldn’t believe it either.”
TSA issued a statement of their own condemning the behavior. “TSA holds contractors to the highest ethical standards and has zero-tolerance for this type of behavior.”
