As of the time of this writing, 58 people are known to have died in the mass shooting at the 91 Harvest country music festival last night. The stories and videos are coming in, and many show the horror of the situation. Others captured the heroism of the average citizen. The first people to provide assistance were those from the concert itself. The video below shows one of these instances.

As the wounded were brought out of the concert venue, the efforts of triage began. Many were brought out on section of fence that had been used as stretchers.
Once the shooting had stopped, many of the citizens on the Las Vegas strip who were in vehicles began using their own cars and trucks to rescue those in need.
As the video below shows, those in need were loaded into the beds of pickup trucks and driven straight to the local hospitals.

The shooting happened in the Mandalay Bay casino on the south side of the Las Vegas strip.
The initial chaos came as the concert was winding down. The crowd was estimated at 22,000. At the time, no one knew the shooter was above the crowd, so many were taking shelter behind barricades that left them exposed.
The images form the local hospitals show the extent of the chaos, too.
“They were firing from somewhere high, and they were unloading clip after clip after clip after clip,” a witness told Nathan O’Neal, a reporter for a local news station, KSNV News. “It was hundreds of shots.”
