Here’s yet another outward display of the political discord gripping the country. A 16-year-old boy was eating in a burger joint when another patron grabbed the kid’s Make America Great Again hat and ripped it off the boy’s head. The man then continued to assault the people at the table and launched vulgar tirade against President Trump.
“Hunter Richard was with his friends at a Whataburger in San Antonio when he was suddenly affronted by another diner, later identified as Kino Jimenez, Tuesday evening,” The Daily Mail writes.
The beginning of the confrontation with Jimenez wasn’t caught on the video, but the camera was rolling shortly after the large man took the hat off of the skinny teen’s head.
Jimenez then picked up Richard’s drink and tossed it onto him. As he did, he yelled “F*** the President!”
The footage, as would be expected, has gone viral.
Jimenez took the hat and walked away, threatening to burn it. “You ain’t even support s**t n****,” Jimenez said as he walked out of the Whataburger. “This is going to go great in my mother f****** fireplace, b****. ”
“Alright, have fun with it,” one of the teenagers sitting at the table responds.
One of the boys at the table seems stunned. “His mother Patricia Spittler posted the since deleted video online, where it racked up more than two million views, hoping to identify the perpetrator,” DM notes.
“He walked away jeering and waving the red cap saying he intended to throw it into his fireplace
Please help ID this ‘Scum BAG of the Year’! His friend was wearing a Patriotic Hat and this happened! It would be nice to know who he is for someone to let him know his actions are not ok! Real tough guy… approaches a group of teenagers minding their own business just having a burger! He kept his hat too! Scum bag!” She wrote.
Kino Jimenez was identified. A San Antonio bar called ‘Rumble’ claims he was (emphasis on was) an employee. They have since shown him the proverbial door.
Hunter, whose hat was stolen, told reporters after the attack: “I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off.”
“I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me.”
Police are investigating the incident, but there have been no arrests or charges filed, as of the time of writing.
