There have been several stories across the nation of people purposefully contaminating food in grocery stores since the COVID-19 outbreak began. When it started to happen again in Massachusetts, shoppers did not stand idly by and rushed to tackle the man.

According to a report by The Patriot Ledger:
A 65-year-old Duxbury man coughed and spat on produce at the Kingston Stop & Shop on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Kingston police responded to the store shortly before noon after a physical confrontation unfolded in which bystanders held the man to the ground until police arrived.
Police are pursuing an application for criminal complaint that may involve the following criminal charges: assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, his foot; assault and battery; and destruction of property.
As of today, over 340,000 infections have been reported in the United States along with over 11,000 deaths being attributed to the virus. Worldwide there are over 1.3 million cases and over 75,000 deaths reported. New York State, and specifically New York City and the surrounding areas remain the hardest hit areas in the United States.
