With the hit TV show “Roseanne” returning to our television screens next week, Roseanne Barr and co-star John Goodman have been making the rounds giving interviews. When the two appeared on Jimmy Kimmel, they spoke about the return of their show as well as one topic that many were not expecting — President Trump.

Barr, who is known to be a fairly politically liberal, was asked by Kimmel how her family reacted when they found out she voted for Trump.
“We had some pro-Hillarys and some pro-Trump, and there was a lot of fighting,” she said. Barr remained a good sport about the whole thing, even when Kimmel asked her about a tweet where she claimed Clinton was a “murderer.”
Barr denied the tweet’s existence blurting out, “I did not!” Kimmel threatened to find the tweet and pull it up in front of the audience, to which Barr finally replied: “I deleted it, so f*** you!” The crowd burst into laughter.
When asked seriously why she chose Trump over Clinton, Barr went on to express her disdain for Clinton’s foreign policy. Kimmel was amazed Barr had actually voted for Trump stating, “I’m shocked at it because I know you were a socially liberal person in general.”
Barr got genuine with Kimmel and the crowd explaining that she felt the left may had moved too far over. “You all moved. You all went so f***ing far out, you lost everything. I mean seriously, a lot of your audience, and including me. I just want to say this Jimmy, a lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail, you know?”
And with that, the crowd immediately erupted into applause. Since Barr understands social cues and is an entertainer, she quickly shifted gears and said: “Because we don’t want Pence,” she said. “You want Pence for the frickin’ president?”
President Trump will probably go down as one of the most divisive presidents we’ve ever had in office. But as Barr said. Nobody wins if he fails. It’s safe to say she hit the nail on the head.
