Some people seem determined to always cast President Trump in a negative light. The man just can’t win no matter what he does. When the Commander in Chief took an 11-year-old boy up on his request to mow the White House lawn, many saw the humor in the situation and felt it helped to humanize the president. The left, however, was appalled.

Frank Giaccio, who is 11, wrote a letter to Trump asking for the job as he wanted to show that even youngsters have what it takes to become entrepreneurs. In the same letter, he explained that he admired Trump’s business background, probably imagining himself as the next real estate mogul.

Pictures of Giaccio and Trump together quickly went viral with many applauding Trump for reaching out to the child.  The left, however, somehow found a way to twist the president’s kind act into something more sinister.

Liberals cried the president was violating “child labor laws” even though he took no money from the boy. After the photos went viral, Twitter became a whirlwind of opinionated posts.

Twitter users used the media’s photos of the meeting to take negative jabs at Trump, the first lady and even Ivanka for “promoting child labor.”

One user wrote, “Child labor is a big Trump thing. Nice to see you didn’t outsource this job.”

Another user wrote, “Ivanka is not the only trump who prefers child labor,” insinuating that Ivanka uses child labor to produce her clothing line.

As for child labor laws, it’s clear these people don’t know how these laws actually work. The act that was authorized in 1938 clearly states young people must work in an environment that doesn’t jeopardize the safety of the child.

Giaccio seemed pretty safe and, in fact, was closely supervised while mowing the lawn. Not to mention that Trump surely helped to grow the young boy’s business. God forbid we see a child in American showing a strong work ethic and getting to meet someone he admires. This is surely a memory he’ll always cherish. Way to ruin a good thing, liberals.
