Proponents of concealed carry have more evidence of the effectiveness of armed self-defense, as an armed civilian stopped what’s being described as a mass shooting at a restaurant Thursday evening. The man who burst into the eating establishment and began firing is dead after he was shot and killed by an armed bystander.

The details of the event are still unfolding. It happened Thursday evening in Oklahoma City. The shooting began around 6:30 p.m. at Louie’s Grill and Bar.

“Captain Bo Matthews told reporters the shooter, a white male who walked in and began randomly shooting, was the person killed,” The Daily Mail writes.

“He was shot by a citizen also carrying a handgun as he tried to run away from the scene.”

“Police say they are looking to speak to 100 witnesses following the shooting. The only person killed was the shooter, who was fatally shot by an armed civilian as he tried to flee the scene
An adult woman and young girl, both believed to be customers, were shot in the attack. Both have been taken to hospital for surgery.”

Another man was injured trying to escape the shooting. He fell and broke his leg. The authorities believe that all three of the people injured during the incident will survive.

“It’s a blessing this was stopped [when it was] who knew when this guy was going to stop shooting people,” Matthews told KOCO.

The scene outside the restaurant was chaotic as police tried to interview all of the witnesses. There were 100 or more witnesses and CCTV from the scene that will help establish the course of events.

Reports from the scene say that the shooter was wearing hearing protection when the shooting began. He has not yet been identified. Authorities are saying that the shooting was random and that the man had no known links to anyone at the restaurant.
