Over the weekend, actor turned artist Jim Carrey shared an image online of a recent painting that depicts Sarah Huckabee Sanders, President Donald Trump’s press secretary, in an unflattering light. Though Carrey didn’t mention her by name in the Twitter post, the caricature shows Huckabee Sanders, 35, with a furrowed brow and angry expression.
An image of the painting was shared by Carrey on Saturday, according to a report by the Daily Mail, allowing it to quickly reach his approximately 18 million Twitter followers.
While he didn’t mention Huckabee Sanders specifically, he did caption the image, saying, “This is the portrait of a so-called Christian whose only purpose in life is to lie for the wicked. Monstrous!”
Over the past year, Carrey has been open about his dislike for Trump.
The actor has taken a break from starring in films so that he could concentrate more on his paintings and has produced multiple pieces focusing on modern political figures.
Another portrait featured Abraham Lincoln, reportedly crying over the current state of the nation.
In I Needed Color, a 2017 documentary, Carrey stated that he used his art to “heal a broken heart.”
Aside from Huckabee Sanders, he also painted an image of Trump kissing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s naked read end.
Another is focused on the now-late Stephen Hawking, whom Carrey called the “greatest mental athlete of our time.”
