In mid-February, Chris Hemsworth shared a video on Instagram of him completing an intense workout. Since the actor is best-known for his role as Thor, it isn’t surprising that his exercise routine seemed to be especially rigorous. However, he wasn’t the only one to take on the challenging regimen. Instead, Jack Black was inspired to try it himself.
Black isn’t usually associated with a vigorous exercise routine. The actor – who, according to a report by Unilad, is preparing to film the follow-up to 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle –probably wouldn’t qualify as a member of the physical fitness elite.
However, that did not stop him from trying to survive Hemsworth’s intense workout regimen.
Black ultimately recreated the entire exercise routine move for move. While he did use significantly smaller weights, it still appeared to be very intense.
The actor even performed the big kick to wrap up the routine, though he aimed at an exercise ball instead of a punching bag.
Black’s attempt is as admirable as it is hilarious. The actor even copied Hemworth’s caption though he did add a new question at the end. He wrote: “Mixing it up. Get creative. Keep moving. Variety is key! Who did it better?”
While Hemsworth’s video has been viewed over 5.3 million times since being posted, Black’s version did pretty well in that department too, acquiring nearly 2.5 million views in just six days.
Hemsworth seemed to appreciate the effort and shared Black’s video on Instagram, writing: “the student has become the master.”
