For one group of four friends, a trip to a haunted house turned out to be scarier than they anticipated. As they were heading into the attraction at around 9:00 pm local time on Friday, they were approached by an unknown male. Believing the person was affiliated with the haunted house, they began to play along with his antics.
The incident took place at the Nashville Nightmare Halloween attraction, according to a report by Fox News.
The unknown male approached the four friends, with the group assuming that he was a character actor affiliated with the event.
According to the police report, the stranger asked one of the friends if another was “f***ing around with her.” Assuming the man was “playing around,” she replied yes.
At that point, the person provided her with a knife and instructed her to stab her friend. Believing that the knife was a prop, she “stabbed at the victim,” only to then discover that the blade was very real.
“As she pulled back, she realized that there was blood on the knife, there was a hole in the victims’ shirt and blood was squirting from the victim’s left arm,” said the police report.
The stranger quickly took the knife back and fled from the area.
The victim received a “severe laceration” on his arm and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The two friends who were not directly involved in the incident, as well as the one who was stabbed, said they believed their friend did not intend to harm anyone. They asserted that the group thought the man was part of the attraction, leading them to assume that the knife was fake.
The woman who seemingly accidentally stabbed her friend has not been charged with any crime, according to a police spokesperson.
