Actor and comedian, TJ Miller, who stars in the hit HBO show Silicon Valley, co-starred in this year’s hit blockbuster Deadpool alongside Ryan Reynolds and co-stars with Jennifer Anniston in the recently released Office Christmas Party, has been charged with battery.
Miller reportedly slapped an Uber driver in the head after the driver said he supported Donald Trump.
Miller called the car to take him from the GQ Man of the Year party to his home. The altercation occurred outside of Miller’s home at the conclusion of the ride.
According to a media report:
“Silicon Valley” star T.J. Miller was arrested on a battery charge early Friday morning, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told TheWrap.
Miller was arrested at approximately 1 a.m., after his driver placed him under citizen’s arrest, police said. Police followed Miller to his residence and placed him under arrest.
Miller got into it with his Uber driver during an argument about president-elect Donald Trump after Miller attended the GQ Man of the Year party, and the driver claimed that Miller slapped him, TMZ reported. The driver didn’t have any visible injuries, TMZ reported.
Though the driver did not have any visible injuries, police issued Miller a citation for misdemeanor battery and ordered him to appear for a future court date.
According to TMZ, Miller appeared to be intoxicated during the altercation.
Miller did end up teasing his arrest during the Critics Choice Awards which he hosted last night in Los Angeles.
