In an effort to make sure that their customers can achieve a perfect fit, one condom company offers an astounding 66 different sizes in their line of condoms, including one that they claim is the smallest in the world. The company also created a special measuring tape, allowing shoppers to figure out exactly which size is right for them.
TheyFit, a UK-based company, offers a condom that measures 4.92 inches long and 2.8 inches wide, the smallest size available in their line.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, research conducted by the firm showed that “millions of men every single day are searching the internet for small condoms and a real solution to their problem.”
Choosing the wrong size condom can not only impact enjoyment but also increases the risk of pregnancy and disease, health experts state.
An improper size, according to a team of US researchers, can more than double the odds of a condom slipping off or splitting.
In an effort to solve the issue of ill-fitting condoms, TheyFit created a line with 66 different length and width combinations.
The company noted that the “smaller” styles offered by condom industry leaders, such as Lifestyles “Snugger” and Durex “Close Fit,” still have lengths at or over 7 inches. The packaging also uses “nominal width” measurements – the condom’s width when it is removed from the package and laid flat – and not a “circular width – the diameter once the condom is extended – increasing men’s difficulties in choosing a proper size.
“It’s not so much that you need a small condom,” says the TheyFit website, “it’s that traditional condoms are much too big for most men.”
TheyFit also avoids traditional sizing designations, like XS and XL, favoring a letter and number code system.
One customer who tried the “E” length, which is the shortest available, reviewed the product, stating, “I had tried smaller condoms before and found they were still much too long for me. I assumed it was just a cruel trick being played on me. My TheyFit was perfect – thank you for doing this.”
Another who purchased the 55 girth, the tightest condom available through the company, wrote: “I’d like to congratulate you on the most obvious idea ever. This condom fitted like a glove.
“The first time I have ever been able to use a condom without worrying that it would slip off.”
