Scott Jordan, the CEO of the clothing company SCOTTeVEST that was seen on Shark Tank in 2012, found himself walking back on a recent Facebook post he made on his personal account. Jordan’s company advertises primarily on Fox News. He made numerous disparaging remarks towards the conservative network’s viewer base going so far as to call them “gullible.”

In the Facebook post, Jordan badmouthed his primary advertising base after he stated people who watch Fox News are “extremely gullible and easier to sell than other networks.” If that wasn’t bad enough, Jordan continued by adding he likes Fox News viewers because they are “f***ing idiots while getting rich off them.”

Jordan has since deleted the post and issued a formal apology. “I am profoundly sorry for my horrible and offensive remarks,” he wrote. “This past Sunday, I posted on my personal Facebook page an incredibly rude and inaccurate statement about SCOTTeVEST’s TV advertising on Fox News. On Monday, I removed the offensive post and posted an apology on Facebook.”

According to The Blaze, Jordan and his wife created SCOTTeVEST, a vest that can hold multiple technological devices, in 2000. He saw his big break after he appeared on Shark Tank in 2012 even though he left without a deal.

The Washington Times reported Jordan left the everyday operations of the company in July of this year after he cited “personal reasons.” Following the PR nightmare, SCOTTeVEST issued a statement that disowned Jordan’s remarks.

“We are extremely sorry for his unacceptable comments,” the company said in a post on their website. “Mr. Jordan’s post was impulsive and inappropriate for too many reasons to list, and rightfully offended so many people. We strongly disagree with the views expressed by Mr. Jordan.”

The damage may already be done as #BoycottScotteVest has been trending on Twitter. His so-called “gullible” customer base has turned their backs on him. His bank account will surely be affected by the most recent hashtag.
