A photo of a really bad hair day is making the rounds on the internet. There’s not much of an explanation of the image, either, though that hasn’t kept many from guessing. The leading theory, one that hardly seems logical, is that the poor woman in the image mistook spray foam, the kind you use to fill gaps in basements, for mousse.
If that’s the case, she made an epic mistake. Spray foam, even the kind that only expands slightly, does make a stunning addition to many hairstyles, but not in the way most would intend.
Mousse, on the other hand, can harden like cement, but a good shower typically removes all traces.
The image reportedly comes from an emergency room somewhere in eastern Europe. If that’s the case, it would be easy to assume the label might have been in a foreign language.
Yet that wouldn’t explain the way it has spilled onto her shoulder. It also wouldn’t explain why she’s wearing so many leaves and twigs.
Regardless, she isn’t happy. Few with a wig of polyurethane glued to their heads would be. And the emergency room is the right place. While the foam can be trimmed off, mostly, there will be residue on her scalp that will not come off easily.
This isn’t the first time this has happened, either. This video below shows a similar situation. The video is from a Flemish mockumentary. The auto-translation into English isn’t much help in clearing up the situation, though it is amusing.
