A would-be home intruder immediately regretted his decision to break into 82-year-old Willie Murphy’s home Thursday night. The intruder probably saw nothing more than an elderly woman living on her own thinking she would be an easy target. Little did the intruder know, Murphy is a bodybuilder who can lift double her 105-pound weight. Let’s just say it ended badly for the burglar.

At 11 p.m. Thursday night, in her Rochester, New York home, Murphy was alerted to a man sitting outside her front door and claiming to be sick. Not knowing the man’s intentions, she called the cops and stayed in her home, the Daily Mail reported.

This news of the cops coming upset the man and put him on a more strict timeline. So without wasting any time, the man sprung into action and broke into Murphy’s home.

The man must have been shocked to see the small elderly woman pick up the kitchen table and hit the man over the head with it. Ironically, the robber chose the wrong house indeed as the 82-year-old is an award-winning bodybuilder.

“I hear a loud noise,” she told Fox News. “I’m thinking, what the heck was that? The young man is in my home. He broke the door. “I picked up the table, and I went to work on him. The table broke.”

Not wanting to give the would-be thief a chance to get back up, Murphy began hitting him with a nearby broomstick. One would imagine this would be enough punishment for the thief, but not for 5 feet tall Murphy.

“And when he’s down. I’m jumping on him. I grabbed the shampoo. Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing. I got the broom. He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom.”

She concluded her efforts of protecting her home by throwing shampoo on the suspect and not allowing him to get up. The scene must have been something straight out of “Home Alone” franchise.

First responders arrived on the scene shortly after the 911 call to find a 28-year-old man badly beaten and bruised. After discovering what the woman did to protect her home, the first responders all took pictures with her.

“He picked the wrong house to break into,” Murphy said. “I’m alone and I’m old, but guess what? I’m tough.”
