An 18-year-old man drove a $500,000 McLaren the wrong way down a busy highway, crashing into another vehicle. While the driver of the McLaren has not been officially identified, friends of the man say it was Trevor Heitman, a gamer and YouTuber who goes by “McSkillet” and has approximately 880,000 followers.

The incident took place on I-805 in San Diego, California, according to a report by the Daily Mail. Heitmann was driving the McLaren the wrong way down the highway, using the HOV lane, and struck a Hyundai.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 43-year-old woman, and her passenger, her 12-year-old daughter, were killed when their car was struck by Heitmann.

Heitmann was also killed in the crash, and another person was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Approximately 30 minutes before the crash, a McLaren was seen smashing through the gates of Ashley Falls Elementary School. Witnesses stated that a teenage boy was driving a black McLaren and crashed through the gates of the school.

No one was injured during the elementary school incident, though witnesses stated they were afraid Heitmann was trying to harm children with his actions.

Earlier in the year, Heitmann was banned from trading “skins” on Counter-Strike Global Offensive, a popular video game.

The ban led him to lose about $100,000 in virtual inventory which could have been sold, according to fans of Heitmann and gaming industry experts.

Online forums and fan’s of the YouTuber seem to believe Heitmann was experiencing some level of turmoil.

Video from the scene of the crash shows the smashed Hyundai. The McLaren is also in the footage, showing the wreckage burning on the highway.

Heitmann had previously uploaded a video of a black McLaren on his YouTube channel, showing off his vehicle to his fans.
