Scott Robertson and Shandace Lerma were on the streets of Seattle doing a wedding photo shoot when a little girl mistook Lerma, the bride, for a princess from her favorite storybook, “The Woman in White” by Wilkie Collins. The photographer, Stephanie Cristalli, documented the meeting, and the little girl’s joy is clear.

The little girl was walking with her mother when they crossed paths with Robertson and Lerma while they were taking photographs in honor of their wedding.

“My wife and I got married last February, and during the photo shoot this little girl and her mom happened to be walking by,” said Robertson in a post on Imgur.

The child was even carrying a copy of “The Woman in White” during the chance encounter, making the coincidental meeting seem as though it was orchestrated by the hands of fate. Robertson said, “This little girl thought my beautiful wife was the Princess from her favorite book (the one she’s holding).”

Lerma spent some time with the little girl, with the photographer capturing the interaction.

The little girl even received a flower from the bride’s bouquet.

It was clear the little girl was quite happy to meet the “princess,” and Lerma seemed to enjoy the meeting as well.

The little girl’s mother told Robertson, “Your wife is forever the Princess of Ballard to her.”
