On January 9th of this year, police dog named Jethro was shot and killed in the line of duty, while protecting his partner, Officer Ryan Davis.

When a 9-year-old girl named Allison heard about Jethro’s death, she told her parents she needed to do something to help. So she put together a letter to the police and included all of the allowance she had saved up… so the department could by body armor for it’s other K9 officers.

A little girl wrote this letter to Canton PD Officer Ryan Davis and we’re trying to get her to call CPD so that he can tell her thanks.

So please share. Officer Ryan Davis wrote this on his personal page:

“So we finally got a chance to look through some of the cards and letters received for Jethro! How does something like this not rip your heart out? Unfortunately it was removed from its original envelope so I can’t even send this little angel a Thank You! This is one of many but obviously one of the most emotional!!! Thank You Allison! And everyone who has supported us! God Bless You!”

Please share so he can thank little Allison. Her parents can call CPD at 330-489-3100 for Officer Ryan Davis.

Thanks to the internet, Allison’s family was contacted, as this post shows:

UPDATE – Allison and her Mom have been found and will be in contact with Officer Davis soon!A little girl wrote this…
