When painter Bob Ross passed away, many remembered him fondly for his love of painting. Although he was never taken seriously as a painter, he did develop a cult following. It seems that this young Youtuber, Peter Draws, has done his best to channel his inner Ross with a glow-in-the-dark twist.

Peter Draws has over 350,000 subscribers on his channel; his viewers have steadily grown since the channel’s inception. Thousands flock to his channel to listen to his soothing voice while watching a talented painter create impressive art with glow-in-the-dark ink.

This video starts out with Peter dropping the glow-in-the-dark ink into a cup of water. “Each drop of glowy ink, upon hitting the water and diffusing makes the jar a little bit brighter.” he calmly says. “Maybe looking at things and getting little drops of inspiration works the same way.”

With all of the lights off, he begins to paint an extremely detailed dragon. The interesting thing about his creations is that he does it with a glass point, something that many of us probably weren’t even aware of.

Peter has seemingly found his niche with over 100,000 people coming to watch the first few videos he has published. He also puts his work onto Instagram, which has 60k followers.

While drawing the elegant dragon, he talks about technique and shares life lessons, another similarity to the late Ross.

He tells the viewer to slow down when painting, don’t rush it, simply let the art flow from your fingertips.

Sure, as of now, he isn’t as well known as Bob Ross. But in the near future, if his following continues to grow, he might reach that level of fame. The only thing that may hinder Peter is the lack of a beard. But he can always grow one if needed.
