After weeks of negative exposure in the press (some of which even came from his loyal media supporters), President Trump managed to get some positive feedback. His latest visit to the victims of Hurricane Harvey may have actually changed some people’s minds. He came away with some unlikely support after promising his support, at least.

One of those who is giving Trump credit is a Houston rapper named Lil’ Flip.
“I’m feeling good that Donald Trump came to Texas,” Flip said. “I feel like it’s the president’s duty to get out there with the people on the front lines sometimes, and see what’s going on.”
“So I feel like it’s good he came. Kind of wish he would have came to Houston as well.” Flip’s comments were recorded on video for TMZ (below).
“A lot of times I feel that people, they sit back and they criticize on what you do,” Lil’ Flip added. “But those same people … did those same people, did they catch flights to Houston? Did those same people go out there and make great speeches? So, it’s kind of like a ‘damned if you do, damned if you don’t’ situation. At the end of the day, you can’t never please everybody.”
“So, my take on that is, hey, did the critics come out here and help Houston? If you go point the finger at somebody, then you should be out there. So whoever has a problem with how he handled it, then they should go out there and do something as well. You know what I mean? I feel like as long as you’re doing what you’re doing from the heart, and if that’s the case with them, so be it.”

“But for a person to criticize somebody who is at least trying to do something,” he concluded, “or going there when they’re sitting at home a million miles away, ‘he without sin, cast the first stone.’”
