A 33-year-old child predator was apprehended by an Oklahoma family after the father set a trap for the man. The man, who has yet to be named by authorities, was allegedly sending lewd pictures and sexually explicit text messages to his 15-year-old daughter. The entire “sting operation” was captured on shocking video.

The father learned of the 33-year-old man’s relationship with his 15-year-old daughter through software on her computer that allowed him to monitor her activity.
Police Maj. Jody Suit told KOCO-TV, “The family took it upon themselves to pretend to be her and invite the suspect to the house to meet her in the backyard in a tent for the purpose of having sex,” he explained.
The daughter was unaware of the incident as she was still sleeping inside the home. An older family member was in the tent to give the illusion the 15-year-old was in the tent.
As the predator approached the tent, dad and the rest of the family sprung into action. They “tackled him and zip tied his hands and feet and hold him until the police get there,” according to Suit.
Once the police arrived, the father explained the situation to officers and provided them with the evidence of the suspect’s communication with his underaged daughter. According to The Blaze, the suspect was then arrested and charged with unlawful communication by the use of technology and using a phone and social media to communicate with a minor.
While Suit understands why the family acted as they did, he doesn’t condone setting a trap on your own as it puts everyone in danger. “But as a parent, I don’t blame him,” Suit said. “I think it’s your right to protect your children.”
According to the police, the suspect was not injured in the sting operation and is still in jail. The father brought this incident to the attention of local authorities prior to his sting operation, but he said he didn’t want to risk the suspect getting away while waiting on authorities.
