How old were you when you shot your first deer? I bet very few of you were just seven. That’s what we’re looking at here. While the liberal left are sure to have something to say about this kind of deplorable parenting, it is a moment this girl won’t ever forget.
The video shows seven-year-old Lilly Klapper patiently lining up her memorable shot. Lilly waits for the perfect moment as her father sits beside her in the blind, and then squeezes the trigger. The shot, which her father Cory had recorded, was posted to Facebook on Monday.

When the shot breaks, Lilly looks pretty calm. The recoil from the rifle pushes her back slightly, but she’s unshaken. Then her father tells her that she hit the deer. Though Lilly smiles, he seems far more impressed.
Klapper knew the video would ruffle some feathers. He says it “may not be for everyone” and invited anyone who might be offended to “keep scrolling.”
Who might be offended by seven year old girls shooting deer? I can imagine it is a long list. There are those who have coronaries whenever a kid is even exposed to the idea of a firearm. Then there are others who would prefer that all woodland creatures be treated like they might in a Disney film. Bambi, for instance. Only the happy part of Bambi, not the terrifying part where the mother deer dies.
“I respect and understand that this video may not be for everyone,” Klapper wrote. “If you think that you might be offended by this video that has my daughter shooting a deer with a modern hunting rifle please keep scrolling.”
How many have kept scrolling? Hard to estimate. It is easier to guess how many have actually watched the video. The clip has more than 2.5 million views on Facebook, and that was before it was picked up and shared by Fox.
Klapper told Fox that his daughter learned to shoot when she was five. He hopes it will inspire more parents to get outside with their kids.
