Ever since Donald Trump announced his candidacy, he has been the target of hatred and vitriol. A certain amount of character assassination comes with the job. Yet there’s a softer side to President Trump that isn’t receiving as much media attention.
This week wasn’t particularly the best week for President Donald Trump. He had to fire his National Security Advisor after some scandal and media backlash. The nominee for Secretary of Labor withdrew his name for consideration. To make matters even worse, when confronted about these shocking events in a press conference this week, it resulted in a controversial argument between him and the press.
After such a rough week, how do you think our president recovered from this? He turned a cold shoulder to those berating him and put in some time with his family after a sporadic and crazy few days.
President Trump had a visit schedule with a South Caroline Boeing plant before jetting off to Mar-a-lago for the remainder of the weekend. Ivanka (daughter), Jared Kushner (son-in-law), and their children waited with Trump before Marine One landed at the Oval Office.
Joseph (grandson) putting on a face of boredom while waiting around for Marine One to land.
After a bit of waiting, Marine One finally and Trump was preparing to board. However, instead of Ivanka and Jared Kushner escorting their kids to the helicopter, their grandfather took the privilege instead.
This picture was taken of Trump holding hands with three-year-old Joseph and five-year-old Arabella Kushner as they walked along the South Lawn of the White House.
Despite what the media says, President Trump is human too and has a heart (regardless of what everyone on Twitter likes to rant about). Let’s hope we get to see more of this side of Trump.
