It’s something out of a horror movie that always sends chills down your spine. You’ve seen it play out, someone reviews past video footage only to realize they were being watched and/or not alone in their own home. Well, a couple in Chicago’s Bucktown area lived out that scenario in real life this month.

[Scroll Down For Video] After Jordan Buranskas purse turned up missing, she and her boyfriend Jack Mackercher reviewed their in-home NEST camera footage to see if they could solve the mystery. What they saw was beyond disturbing.

The couple saw someone in the upstairs part of their home, watching over them after they had fallen asleep watching Netflix in their living room below.

Mackercher recalled to ABC7: ‘I’m like, “Why are you at the top of the stairs wearing a white hoodie before we went to bed?” She’s like, “I wasn’t at the top of the stairs.”

‘So that’s when you go flush and start to freak out a little bit.’

Buranskas also spoke to WLS, saying: ‘He stood there for about 5 minutes the first time then walked away, then came back and hovered over us again for another 5 minutes.’

The man appeared to watch part of an episode of Mr Robot that was playing on the television. Buranskas said, ‘I like to think that he was watching the TV and not us’, saying the idea was ‘slightly more comforting’. The man appeared very casual at points, even leaning up against the wall nonchalantly.

Police say he may have carried out ‘other neighborhood burglaries’, WLS reported. A suspect wearing similar clothes appeared on another security camera in the area.

The suspect has been dubbed the “Creeper Ghost” due to his white hoodie and sneakiness.
