Marco Rubio has, in past interviews, signaled that he may not support Donald Trump even if he was the Republican nominee for president. He has called Trump’s supporters “frightening” and “disturbing.” He and Trump also traded personal insults numerous times during the debate process.
However, in a recent radio interview, Rubio appears to do a full 180 on that statement. When asked if he would support the nominee, even if was Trump, Rubio said the following:
“I’ve always said I’m going to support the Republican nominee … and that’s especially true now that it’s apparent that Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic [nominee].”
Even as recently as March, Rubio said it was “getting harder everyday” to support the eventual nominee.
The most human moment of this campaign I've seen is Rubio this a.m. on whether he'd support Trump as the nominee pic.twitter.com/YzziiLoh0U
