If a man asks to stab you in the back with a knife – say no. If he says it will be okay because you’re wearing a knife-proof vest he designed – you STILL say no.
That’s the lesson one Israeli reporter learned the hard way after a demonstration of said technology went awry, sending him to the hospital.
Just moments before vest failed to do the one thing it was designed to do, company vice president Yaniv Montakyo told the reporter he had nothing to fear.
“You have nothing to worry about. We are very confident in our product. This product can protect from knives that are stronger than this one. May I? Don’t be afraid.”
And that’s when the reporter ended up in the hospital, needing stitches.
