Tucson Police Officer Brandon Tatum decided to attend a Trump rally in his hometown over the weekend to see what the big deal was. [Scroll Down For Video]
Tatum, an African American, later created a video blog about his experience. Interestingly, Tatum said he experienced no hate or prejudice from the Trump supporters, but was verbally accosted and felt threatened by the people who were there to protest Trump.
Tatum admits that he expected Trump to be radical and his supporters to be violent. However, Tatum said Trump ultimately earned his respect for how he handled the rally and the things he said. Tatum said Trump’s overall message was a positive one.
Tatum said he feels that the media is portraying Trump as a character rather than the person he actually is.
The video has been viewed nearly half a million times in less than two days.
My experience at Donald Trump's rally in Tucson, AZ. #PressPlay*I'd like to add that after further investigation the protester that was punched did not provoke the other male, according to authorities. I don't need to state the obvious regarding my stance on assault.
