After the Eagles defeated the Vikings on Sunday, securing their entry into the Super Bowl, one fan was running to catch a subway train and, much to the chagrin of the riders watching his attempt, slammed straight into a concrete pillar on the subway platform. The incident was filmed by a person on the train and shared on social media.

The Philadelphia Eagles had just defeated the Minnesota Vikings, with a score of 38-7, and local fans were leaving Lincoln Financial Field in droves.
A male fan wearing a number 20 Eagles jersey can be seen running alongside the train as the passengers looked on.
Apparently, the man didn’t see the concrete pillar in his path, leading him to slam into the support post and fall dramatically on the crowd. Passengers on the train can be heard jeering the fan as the incident unfolds.
The video, which is only a handful of seconds long, was uploaded to Twitter where, according to the Daily Mail, it had already been viewed more than 200,000 times. It has since made its way onto other platforms, including YouTube.
While the fan may have had a challenging night, the Eagles are looking forward to meeting the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on February 4.
The two teams have met in the Super Bowl before, with the Patriots defeating the Eagles 24-21 in 2005.
