Initial reports indicated that there was an active shooter at Ohio State University earlier this morning. At least eight people were transported to area hospitals and the suspect, almost as soon as the attack began, was killed by police.
The story of an active shooter has taken a shift, as it is now being reported that an “assailant” used his car to crash through a group of students after a fire alarm was pulled. The man then got out of his car with a large knife and began stabbing people.

Witnesses are now corroborating that it wasn’t a shooter. “I didn’t see anything with the shooter, what happened was it was outside of MacQuigg Lab,” JerryKovacich, a third-year student said.
“The guy ended up just coming and hopping the curb with his car and trying to mow down a couple people. He lost control, and I think he ended up hitting three people, and then people were around the car. Somebody asked him if he was OK and the guy just hopped out of the car with a butcher knife and starting chasing people around.”
BREAKING: Ohio State spokesman says injuries in campus attack include stab wounds and being hit by a vehicle.

The university has released a statement, “A suspect has been shot and reported deceased,” the university said. “Victim injuries include stab wounds, injury by motor vehicle and other injuries that are being evaluated.”
CNBC reported the gunshots that were heard were reportedly from the officers, taking down the assailant. In situations like this one, the first reports from the scene are often incorrect due to the chaotic environment. But perhaps it’s best to wait a bit for facts to come out before politicizing an event.
Liberals are already demanding action against gun violence in America. They wasted zero time before pushing a gun control agenda shortly after reports broke of an active shooter on campus. As stated before, there is no factual evidence of a shooter on campus.
Increased gun control laws wouldn’t have stopped a man from running down a group of students with his car and then attacking people with a knife. As we’ve seen over and over again, an assailant can use any weapon to take innocent lives.
