The new First Lady will reportedly not being moving into the White House in January, as is the custom for the newly appointed President and his family.
It should be no surprise that Melania’s son, 10-year-old Barron, is the apple of her eye and she would do anything for him. So why won’t Barron be headed to the White House? The reason may surprise you. Melania doesn’t want to pull Barron out of his private school.
According to a source uncovered by The New York Times, Melania and Barron will be staying in their Trump Tower home. The source close to the family told the Post: “She is really devoted to Barron.”
Barron attends a private school on the Upper West Side of New York. Tuition at the prestigious prep school runs a hefty $40,000, according to the Post. The source close to the President-Elect and his family also stated that Melania is fully committed to raising Barron without help and cares for him without the assistance of nannies.
The campaign has allegedly taken its toll on the young Trump and the decision to keep him in his school is a result of that. Melania will allegedly travel to the White House when she is needed. Her work as the first lady is to focus on preventing cyberbullying, a project she says she is very passionate about.
The source also disclosed, “Melania is very supportive of her husband and is fully on board of doing everything that’s needed as the first lady.”
While the President-Elect’s First Lady is living in Trump Tower, security at the glitzy Trump Tower will be ramped up. According to US Magazine, both Melania and her son will be accompanied by secret service at all times.
President of a global security company, Jim Reese, told the post: “The Secret Service is going to have to keep that whole area cordoned off so that some wacko can’t get close and detonate a car bomb.” It is expected once Barron finishes his current school year, Melania and he will move to the White House. They’ve already begun the process of looking for a new school.
