As we previously reported, Austin Russell (aka Chumlee), one of the stars of the History Channel’s “Pawn Stars” was arrested last week on various charges following police serving a search warrant on his home.
Here is what police found in the home according to a TMZ report:
1 gallon Ziploc with 116 grams (1/4 pound) of marijuana
2 clear jars of marijuana (8.2 grams and 2.8 grams)
1 bag with 4.4 grams marijuana
7 clear capsules with 1.7 grams of methamphetamine powder
17 Xanax bars
Twelve firearms were also found and seized, including a semi-auto Bushmaster AR-15 that was found near the stash of Xanax bars. While the firearms are all likely legal under Nevada and federal law (unless it turns out any are stolen), additional charges could arise from having the firearms around felony amounts of drugs. The TMZ report mentions only four of the firearms being “registered” to Chumlee, but Nevada has no firearms registration, so we aren’t sure what they’re referencing.
Police have tried to paint Chum as a drug dealer, but he alleges that he is just a recreational drug user who buys in bulk.
The search was carried out in relation to allegations of sexual assault. Police have stated Chumlee is the suspect in that case.
