When Hillary Clinton lost the election, she immediately began to play the blame game, pointing predominantly at the FBI and its director James Comey as the reason for her loss. She seemed to have come to terms with her loss but while speaking at a “Women for Women” event recently, she had an entire list of those who had caused her defeat.
“I take absolute personal responsibility,” she told a group of empathetic women voters. She then began to explain the reasons why she lost which covered anything and everything from Russian interference to Putin “not being a big fan” of her.
She then quickly moved on to the FBI and James Comey who were out to get her by reopening the email scandal weeks before the election.
Piers Morgan, who is considered extremely liberal, wrote an interesting piece for the Daily Mail saying he was fed up with Clinton’s excuses.
Most notably, Morgan voiced that Clinton lost the election herself due to her own arrogance.
Morgan wrote that she basically handed the election to Trump on a silver platter when she insulted thousands of Americans during a speech on the campaign trail. ‘You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,’ Hillary boisterously said. ‘Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it.’
Trump and his Vice President, Mike Pence, both saw this as an opportunity to capitalize on her words and her insult to Americans. “Wow, Hillary Clinton was SO INSULTING to my supporters,” Trump tweeted, “millions of amazing, hard-working people.”
“The people’s candidate” even tried to place the blame on men who wouldn’t vote for a woman, even though over 20 women in various parts of the world have been elected to the highest positions in government. The “glass ceiling” has already been broken; women politicians throughout the world have already shattered it.
Near the end of his surprisingly insightful article, Morgan summed up the real reason Clinton lost.
He wrote: “But the truth is she ran a dreadful, purposeless campaign from start to finish and ignored the very real fears and concerns of middle America. Trump heard those people, visited them regularly and made them believe in him. That’s why she lost.”
This is 100 percent accurate. Clinton was her own worst enemy. You can’t ignore the hardworking people of America. And you can’t fool them. The American people saw right through her facade and voted for a candidate who they knew could make America great again.
