We are getting initial reports that two deputies have been shot and killed at a courthouse in Berrien County Courthouse in Michigan along with other casualties. Some reports indicate that three people were killed.
UPDATE 3:57PM EST: According to a report from a local NBC affiliate:
Three people have been fatally shot and one injured in a shooting at the Berrien County Courthouse in Southwest Michigan, according to a county commissioner.
The commissioner confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 that two of the victims are courthouse employees and the other fatality, an inmate who was in custody at the time of the shooting, was the shooter.
Reports indicate that the deputies who were shot and killed were working as bailiffs for the court.
ORIGINAL STORY: According to a local Fox report:
…Multiple people were shot at the Berrien County Courthouse at around 2:30 p.m. Eastern No further details were released by Michigan State Police, according to the report.
At about 3:20 p.m., CNN reported that a police officer was shot outside the courthouse.

Gov. Rick Snyder tweeted that the scene had been secured:
MSP has secured the scene at the Berrien County courthouse and started its investigation into the shooting that occurred this afternoon.

A Facebook live video taken in the area shows a strong police presence after the shooting was reported.
