According to several news sources, GOP Presidential Candidate Ted Cruz will name his running mate today at an event in Indiana in the event that he secures the GOP nomination.
According to those sources, Cruz will tap former HP CEO Carly Fiorina as his pick for vice president.
If she were elected, Fiorina would be the first female vice president in American history.
So far, the only official news from the Cruz campaign is that Cruz will make a big announcement at 4pm today. Fiorina recently arrived in Indiana as well.

Cruz currently has no mathematical chance at securing the nomination outright through pledged delegates. However, Cruz is considered the possible frontrunner on a second convention ballot due to his campaign’s continued efforts to get Cruz supporting delegates elected.
