After passing away inside her Bel Air, California home on Sunday, First Lady Nancy Reagan’s body was transported from the house to a local funeral home.
An American icon, Mrs. Reagan revitalized the role of First Lady and led a charge to save children from the dangers of drug use through the D.A.R.E. program.
Just outside the gate of her property, among the throngs of mourners, fans, and media, stood a group of police officers waiting to give the Mrs. Reagan a sendoff honoring both her and her husband, the late President Ronald Reagan.
TMZ.com was on hand to record the touching moment and share it to YouTube:
A classy salute for a classy American icon. Rest in Peace Mrs. Reagan. And thank you to every one of those fine officers.
