During Defense Secretary Ash Carter’s recent visit to West Point, the Army Cyber Institute at West Point’s Strategic Initiatives Group demoed its new anti-drone weapon. [Scroll Down For Video]
The device looks very similar to the current run of M4/16 style rifles being used by the US Armed Forces.
The device was invented by Captains Brent Chapman, Matt Hutchison, and Erick Waage, members of the Army Cyber Institute at West Point’s Strategic Initiatives Group.
In the below video you can see a cadet use the rifle to disable a simple hobbyist drone from a few feet away.
