Ryan Reynolds has two enormous fan bases. One from much of his earlier work and then a whole new group of fans who loved him in DeadPool. One of his fans really wanted a tweet from the actor, so he offered an interesting proposal. Respond and he, in return, would get Reynolds’ name tattooed on his body.
Twitter user Dustin, whose handle is @poolspidey, regularly tweets to the actor hoping one day to get a response. One day Dustin decided to tweet something out of the norm to get Reynolds’ attention.
So on March 5, Dustin tweeted “if you like this I’ll tattoo your name on my butt.” To his surprise, his wacky idea worked and Reynolds liked the tweet.
The super fan had a little fanboy geek out as his perseverance had finally paid off. To honor his two favorite things, Reynolds and Deadpool, he quickly replied back that he would get his name tattooed in red and black ink.
Other users on the post probably thought nothing of it as no one truly thought Dustin would go through with it. But two weeks later, Dustin sent his daily tweet to Reynolds but this time he sent a picture of the tattoo on his butt.
The caption on the photo read, “your wish is my command.” Various other Twitter users were in awe that he actually went through with it. “BRUH YOU REALLY DID DONE DAT,” one user wrote.
Dustin was let down as Reynolds never responded. Almost a month later Reynolds finally responded in the most Ryan Reynolds way possible. “Oh god. Oh. Dear. God. What have you done!? Thankfully, all the letters in my name are silent.”
Twitter went crazy with his response. Dustin’s day was made. He told Reynolds that this was his fault “as if he wouldn’t have done it.” Maybe next time Reynolds hears from a crazed fan with a wacky idea, he shouldn’t respond.
